More Photos of Northeastern Railroads

Remember the "Funny Boys" from the previous page? Well here they are again. This is George, Doug, and Ken in 1987 on the Wilmington and Western Railroad in Delaware. But now lets move on a little farther north and a little later in time.

-

And now this is Ken, Donna, Doug, and George, in 1999 on the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad, in Maine.

-

It's a nice little trip through the flatlands of central Maine. Donna and I didn't get to go on this one. It was a little too pricey. So we got to chase and take pictures.

You get to ride on some Swedish rail equipment. And despite the poor quality of the railroad itself, the ride is reported to be surprisingly smooth, thanks to the Swedish suspension.

-

It's Ken, Doug, and George. And minus Donna, they are at least in the same order this time. It's a hot day in Maine in August.

-

Here's another Maine railroad, and one you are not likely to ride soon. It was the Maine Coast Railway, now owned by the state of Maine and currently operated by SafeHandling, Inc. When SafeHandling took over, all passenger operations were terminated.

Another train you can ride is the Winnepesaukee Railroad, in New Hampshire. Since it is owned by the same people that run the Hobo railroad in Lincoln, NH, you see the same equipment used on both railroads. (Boys in same order).
