Northeast of Round Rock, TX

The company has put me up in a hotel on the north end of Austin this time. So instead of heading south to San Marcos, I think I'll go north to Round Rock and beyond.

These are clouds cast off by hurricane Rita, which is currently making landfall on the gulf coast near Houston. Here's an eastbound grain train, possibly empties heading to Canada?

I have caught up with the grain train and it is once again overtaking us.
It looks like UP 3287 needs a visit to the paint shop.

I like the variety of colors used on the grain cars.

Another nice railroad is the Austin Regional Terminal Railroad.
