Hurricane Wilma Arrives

And with it came the usual high winds and high water.

One of the drainage culverts has become plugged and the yard is now a lake.

But only this one section. If I can unplug the culvert, I can drain this.

With a little prodding with a piece of plastic pipe, the culvert is open.
Now the lake can get past the track. The floodgate has been opened.

The drain has created a vortex on the lake side. A nice little whirlpool.

Finally, the lake is draining.

The runoff from the lake is crossing the road here.

Here's another lake. It's my pit where I get topsoil for fills.

We didn't get too much wind damage this time.
Only a few sticks to remove here and there.

The West Fork is a raging current. The floodplain is flooded.
