Building a Backyard Railroad -- page 4 (July 13th)

It's July 13th, 2003.



Looking west along the south side of the loop. So far no
grading has been done on this part of the line.



But as we back up about 50 feet, we see unballasted track panels,
then ballasted panels. Then panels with rail not yet attached.



Back up another 20 feet, and we start to see attached
rail. This is at the east end of the loop.



Continue to back up around the east end of the loop.



Let's go back and look at the east end again, this time
looking ahead.



Here is where the finished part of the track begins.



Again, continuing around the loop...



This little stub switch will connect to a temporary
spur that heads off to the gravel pile.
